Juridisk Uddannelsescenter is a leading provider of legal education and professional development in Denmark. Specializing in courses that cater to legal professionals, the center focuses on delivering practical, real-world knowledge to help individuals stay current with the latest legislation and legal practices.

With a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and expert-led training, Juridisk Uddannelsescenter offers a comprehensive range of programs designed to meet the needs of both individuals and organizations. The courses are structured to provide participants with the skills and insights necessary to effectively apply legal principles in their daily work.

Scope

Juridisk Uddannelsescenter (JUC) came to Devoteam after having just undergone a rebrand of the company. Their booking site was outdated and too manual labour heavy, and they wanted to invest in a new website to help ease booking of courses.

It was important that the website was easy for them to maintain and update, and that it was seamlessly integrated with a tool that could handle bookings and addition of new courses. 

It was ultimately decided to build the website on a headless CMS called Contentful, and put a custom frontend on top.

Getting started

Having not done a custom website before, and having just undergone a rebrand, JUC didn’t have a clear vision in mind for the new site.

The client was asked to find inspiration on websites that they admired and bring them to a brainstorming workshop. During the workshop, we picked and chose features and elements from the different inspiration websites, and pieced them together to match JUC’s needs. The wireframing was done during the workshop, so the clients could take part in shaping the layout, providing instant feedback as the wireframes came together.

In a matter of hours, we had an initial idea of the layout for the website, with key features being designed by the client themselves. This provided them with complete ownership over what went onto the website, and they could tailor certain elements on the go.

Look and feel

Despite not having a complete overview of the vision when the project first started, JUC had a wish to obtain a professional looking website, inspired by their magnificent location of Axelborg, Copenhagen. They wanted to make the website reflect the uniqueness and personality of JUC, so it was decided to use a professionally done video as the splash element. The video included shots of the educators, the facilities of Axelborg and some of the course participants. 

The rest of the website had to be clean but interesting, with lots of stroke graphics and neat images. The color scheme was already decided by the rebrand, but we were given the opportunity to expand the color palette to add depth to the UI.

Launch

The website was launched in Fall of 2022.
